Due to the popularity of touring productions, such as WICKED, ticket buyers often find that tickets are available through secondary ticket agencies or brokers, but the Civic Center strongly cautions its guests that the ONLY way to purchase guaranteed tickets is through the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines Ticket Office and TicketMaster.
Our guests take great risks when purchasing tickets from an un-trusted source such as a ticket broker, reseller or individuals. You can pay up to 400% over the face value of tickets and the Civic Center will not be able to guarantee the ticket is genuine. The Civic Center is unable to replace those tickets if they're lost or stolen. If the event is canceled, the Civic Center will NOT be able to issue refunds to those ticketholders. In addition, none of the additional money customers overpay ever goes to the performers, producers, or the Civic Center.
To guarantee genuine tickets, the Civic Center advises to only utilize the following options:
- The Civic Center Ticket Office
- All Ticketmaster outlets
- Online at Ticketmaster.com
- Ticketmaster by phone (800) 745-3000
- The Civic Center website at CivicCenter.org
Neither the Civic Center nor Ticketmaster can guarantee the authenticity of tickets purchased from any other seller.
