April 15, 1912: The HMS Titanic sinks in the North Atlantic. Join us 100 years to the week later for this moving one-woman performance based on actual diaries, letters, and interviews of the amazing women who survived the legendary liner’s maiden and final voyage. Madeline Astor, the beautiful teenage bride of one of the wealthiest men in America; stewardess Violet Jessop who tells of the friendships and loves of the below-decks serving crew; Nora, an English music hall performer on her way to New York to begin a new life; and Margaret Tobin Brown- the “Unsinkable Molly” herself — each shares her story of tragedy and triumph.

   Beyond the Performance:
   "Living History" Residency

In this residency led by teaching artist Jennifer Pytleski, students will research and develop characters based on real people  of the Titanic. Writing and drama exercises, such as character interviews, will allow students to construct and demonstrate understanding of the historical event.
