AlttExtIsblAnkSMART TALK WOMEN'S LECTURE SERIES
Generously sponsored by The Des Moines Register

The Des Moines Register will welcome America's most prestigious lecture series to Des Moines for its third season at the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines.

A celebrity-based spoken word series, SMART TALK brings the most intriguing and influential women of the day face-to-face with audiences in an intimate theatrical setting. More often than not, the speaker reveals a private side not often seen in public, creating an emotional connection with the audience. SMART TALK shares the stories of incredible women who follow their own paths - undeterred by conventional thinking - to spectacular results empowering all those around her.

Plan now to join your friends for a new season of inspiring lectures by some of today's most accomplished and distinguished women. You will be challenged, motivated and enlightened by the personal experiences of interesting personalities. Plan to come early to enjoy evenings filled with pre-show activities and displays offered by our sponsors.

With that film she helped redefine the role of women in Hollywood. A-list actress, Mensa member, former model, pianist, competitive archer, producer, and mother, Davis is also the founder of SeeJane, a program designed to increase the number of female characters and to reduce gender stereotyping in media made for children eleven and under.
