World-renowned pianist and NPR From the Top host Christopher O'Riley returns to the Des Moines Symphony to perform one of music's groundbreaking works, the jazz infused Rhapsody in Blue. Opening with Bernstein's lively Overture to Candide, the concert concludeswith Maestro Giunta and the Orchestra playing Stravinsky's masterpiece and one of the most picturesque and rhythmically exciting works in the repertoire - The Firebird.Please note: only children age 5 and over with tickets will be allowed into the theater for this production.
