Grab your swim fins and get ready to make a splash with John Tartaglia’s ImaginOcean, a new black light, musical adventure. Fish friends Tank, Bubbles, and Dorsel set off on a remarkable journey of discovery. Guided by a treasure map, they swim off in search of clues and use their strength, imagination, and courage to overcome a series of undersea obstacles. Ultimately, they discover the greatest treasure of all: friendship. Jam-packed with music ranging from swing to R & B and featuring the toe-tapping “Jellyfish Jive,” ImaginOcean is a one-of-a-kind black light puppet show that’s making waves with young audiences across the country.
Creator John Tartaglia is a 10-year veteran of SESAME STREET and one of the youngest puppeteers ever to perform on the show, starting at age 16. He has since starred in the acclaimed musical AVENUE Q, appeared on Broadway in SHREK THE MUSICAL and in Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. He also created and starred in The Playhouse Disney series JOHNNY AND THE SPRITES, which now airs worldwide.

Beyond the Performance:
"Ocean Friends" at the Blank Park Zoo
Visit the zoo the same day as the performance for a special program on ocean life. Explore the zoo's aquariums and experience a variety of sea life artifacts. Please note: all guests, regardless of age, must be included in the group reservation to be permitted into the theater. Because Applause Series programs are intended for school-age audiences, children under 3 will not be permitted in the theater.
