Sones de México presents a festive concert celebrating the traditional sounds of son, a rich and lively Mexican music and dance tradition. Members of the Grammy-nominated ensemble have a distinct cross-cultural approach, linking son to the diverse Native American, Spanish, and African roots of Mexico’s mestizo culture. Featuring an impressive collection of seventy musical instruments, outstanding vocal harmonies, acrobatic dance, and traditional storytelling, this interactive performance designed especially for young audiences is a truly joyful experience. Experience the sights and sounds of son like never before as Sones de México “moves seamlessly between styles and instruments, playing with rock 'n roll energy without sacrificing cultural authenticity."
